Invisible braces consist of a set of transparent orthodontic splints made according to the patient’s jaw impression and used to correct teeth and irregular bites. One splint (aligner) is made for each phase of tooth movement and must be worn 24 hours a day. The aligners may only be taken out when eating and brushing your teeth.
What is “transparent” orthodontics?
Orthodontic braces have changed their appearance over the years, but their goal has always been the same: to straighten teeth and irregular bites and to put a smile on the patient’s face. Thanks to the transparent or invisible braces, it has never been easier and faster to achieve these goals. Use the aligners of the two leading world brands Invisalign and ClearCorrect!
Classic fixed metal braces have often not been the best solution for tooth straightening due to the discomfort and pain patients are exposed to, mostly due to the braces and wires that sometimes scratch and grind in the buccal cavity. You have to admit that the metal braces were not particularly appealing to the eye either. Due to rapid technical progress, wearing braces is much more comfortable today, as tooth correction can be carried out in a much shorter time with the help of a transparent, light and movable splint compared to fixed metal braces.
Course of therapy with transparent aligners
1
INITIAL EXAMINATION AND DEFINITION OF THERAPY
We identify anomalies and decide which form of therapy is suitable for the patient.
2
3D SCAN AND CREATION OF A THERAPY PLAN
We create a 3D computer scan of your teeth and jaws and develop an individual plan and treatment program.
3
CREATION OF THE SPLINTS AND INSTALLATION OF THE FIRST SPLINT
We make your splints and insert your first splint, with all the necessary instructions and explanations for wearing invisible braces.
4
CONTROLS
Check-ups are less frequent than with classic fixed braces. You should come for a check-up every 8 to 10 weeks.
Who is eligible for therapy?
Nowadays, orthodontic therapy is suitable for everyone. It is no longer only reserved for children and younger generations, but adults use it equally. This is thanks to new technologies and materials used to create clear braces.
Therapy with the help of transparent splints is not recommended for patients with periodontitis. Everyone else who wants to straighten their teeth and has minor anomalies that need fixing are perfect candidates for this type of orthodontic therapy. However, to be sure and to be able to draw up a treatment plan, an examination and consultation with an orthodontist is required, who will then recommend the best solution.

Comparison to classic braces
Removable
Transparent splints are easy to remove, so you can enjoy your food without restrictions. No wires and locks are used like with traditional braces. In addition, high-quality oral hygiene is very easy.
Comfortable to wear
Unlike traditional fixed braces, invisible braces are extremely comfortable to wear.
Almost invisible and discreet
The invisible braces are transparent and allow you to smile at any time. They are so discreet that others will not even notice that you wear a brace.

FAQ
Yes. Recent research on clear braces shows that they can be just as effective as traditional braces at correcting mild to moderate orthodontic problems. However, it is not the right therapy option for tooth correction for everyone. Come in for a free consultation so we can determine if you’re a candidate for an aligner.
While worn, invisible aligners are unobtrusive and barely noticeable, yet still provide effective treatment with predictable, long-lasting results. In fact, in certain cases, aligner treatment can be even more effective than wearing traditional braces due to the all-encompassing force of the aligner on the entire tooth.
Wearing aligners is significantly less painful. Most patients only report discomfort in the first few days and a certain sensitivity, which is significantly less pronounced compared to metal braces. A particular inconvenience with conventional braces is associated with eating. The added benefit of aligners is that they can be taken out of the mouth during meals.
For mild and moderate cases of uneven bites, aligners are usually the quickest way to straighten teeth.
