Dr. Darko Slovša
Doctor Slovša is very demanding, exclusive and strict about work and profession, but at the same time very tolerant, friendly and full of joie de vivre. We can say with certainty and without false modesty that Smile Polyclinic is one of the highest quality and most professional dental clinics, not only in Croatia but also much further afield.
So far, as an oral surgeon Dr. Slovša successfully placed more than 20,000 implants in his career.
He focused implantology on solving complicated and risky cases (lack of bone, patients at risk, bone management), sinus lift surgery, all possible techniques of augmentation and replacement of bone defects (3D augmentation, GBR, bone blocks), as well as solving soft tissue problems (various transplantation techniques) and the achievement of favourable mucosal conditions. With all the techniques mentioned, he was able to increase the success rate in implantology at the Smile Clinic to an extremely high 99.4%!

Formal education
Darko Slovša was born on February 10th, 1972 in Zagreb. He graduated from primary and secondary medical school in Zagreb.
- From 1991 to 1999 he worked as a medical technician in Berlin.
- In 1993 he enrolled at the Faculty of Dentistry in Berlin (Benjamin Franklin). He graduated there on January 27, 1999.
- From 03/1999 to 09/1999 he works as a dental assistant in Stuttgart with Dr. Kruzic
- From 09/1999 to 10/2000 he works in the “Paulinen Hilfe” hospital in Stuttgart
- From 10/2000 to 06/2002 he worked as an assistant dentist in the clinic for maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery in the “Katharinenhospital Stuttgart”
- From 06/2002 to 03/2006 specialist in oral surgery in the clinic for maxillofacial and facial surgery, plastic surgery in Stuttgart Katharinenhospital after the exam on November 30, 2005 he worked until March 1, 2006 as an oral surgeon in the same clinic.
- 02/2006 completed doctorate over 3 years with the grade “magna cum laude” on the subject: cell biological investigation of the effect of bioactive lasers on human gingiva fibroblasts
- From 03/2006 to 09/2006 he worked as an oral surgeon at Dr. Kruzic in Stuttgart
- From 10/2006 – 10/2007 he worked as an oral surgeon – partner in the polyclinic Dr. Gressmann in Neudrossenfeld (Bayreuth) – Bavaria
- From 09/2007 to 03/2011 he worked as oral surgeon and Head of Surgery in Polyclinic Rident in Rijeka.
- He passed the state exam in 09/2007 in Zagreb.
- 2008: Recognition of specialization as an oral surgeon in Croatia
- May 2009: Examination and obtaining the title «Specialist Implantology – DGZI» German Society for Dental Implantology
- September 2009: Recognition of the doctoral title dr.sc.
- 01/2011: Recognition of specialization as an oral surgeon and dentist and nostrification of documents in Slovenia, member of the Slovenian Medical Chamber
- 10/2011: Passing and obtaining the title “Master of Oral Medicine in Implantology” – Münster, Germany as the first in Croatia, Italy and Slovenia.
- 11/2011: Recognition of the specialization as oral surgeon and dentist and nostrification of documents in Italy.
