ClearCorrect is a technology that uses clear teeth alignment splints to correct an overbite while providing an alternative to traditional braces. A set of splints is made separately for each patient, one for each phase of tooth movement.
They must be worn between 20 and 22 hours a day and are removed during meals and oral hygiene. The desired results are achieved on average within 12 months.

ClearCorrect braces use thin, clear trays (aligners) to gently straighten teeth. When teeth aren’t crooked or chipped, food and plaque are less likely to get trapped between them, reducing the chance of dental calculus build-up, tooth decay, or gum disease.
The correct positioning of the teeth enables the chewing forces to be transmitted evenly, reduces or eliminates problems in the temporomandibular joint, and prevents headaches and facial pain.
When your teeth are crooked, the bite is uneven and chewing power is focused on the weaker, more vulnerable parts of the teeth. In this case it is time for ClearCorrect braces. The clear aligner is changed every 2 weeks and slowly moves the teeth into their ideal position.
With average therapy duration of 12 months, results are achieved faster than with classic fixed braces. For comparison: the same results are achieved in 2 to 3 years with classic braces.
Step by step – ClearCorrect treatment

3D computer scan
As soon as the patient and orthodontist agree and it has been determined that transparent braces are a suitable type of orthodontic therapy for the specific case, a 3D computer scan of the current condition of your teeth and jaw is created.

Therapy plan and program
The next step is to develop a treatment plan and program. This gives the patients the opportunity to visualize their future smile. After 10 to 15 days, a treatment plan or a digital overview is created that shows the future movements and position of the teeth.

Creation of the splints
If the patient has no objections to the appearance of his future smile, we will make the splints (aligners). Each splint needs to be changed every two weeks to allow teeth to move and straighten as planned. Any splint already in use has served its purpose as soon as the intended displacement has been achieved.

First splint
The initial application of the splint takes place in the Smile Clinic, as composite structures are placed on the teeth. These are important for therapy because they move the teeth in the right direction with the desired pressure. All other splints are changed by the patient himself, with clear and complete instructions given by our specialist on how to change them and how to keep them clean.
The duration of the therapy or how long the patient has to wear the transparent braces depends on the number of splints. You will also receive all the necessary information about the course and treatment plan, which includes the number of visits for examination and control in the coming months. The usual control interval is about every 2 months.
Who is eligible for invisible aligners?
ClearCorrect aligners solve mild to moderate problems with narrow, spaced or crooked teeth. Ideal candidates are people of all ages who can easily wear ClearCorrect braces 22 hours a day. Patients with dental implants, bridges, or temporomandibular joint disorders may not be optimal candidates for orthodontic therapy with ClearCorrect.
The most important thing for the success of the therapy is the commitment of the patient and the consistent wearing of the aligner for at least 20, preferably 22 hours a day in order to achieve the desired results.
ClearCorrect vs. traditional dental braces
ClearCorrect’s transparent braces are almost invisible, allowing you to laugh and speak freely. Other people won’t even notice you’re wearing braces. Wearing traditional metal braces, on the other hand, is very noticeable

On average, treatment with ClearCorrect lasts about 12 months. Some patients may need 18 months, while others can complete treatment in as little as 10 months. In general, ClearCorrect straightens teeth much faster than metal braces, which typically require wearing for two full years or more.
