We begin by assessing
what can be
preserved
A crown or bridge is not replaced simply because it is old. At your consultation, we assess fit, stability, supporting teeth or implants, gums and bite.
Our assessment shows what can be retained, what needs adjustment and what should be replaced. The aim is to restore oral health, function and an appearance that complements your smile.
Three options for
different clinical needs
The choice depends on what needs restoring: a tooth that is still present,
one or more missing teeth, or an existing restoration that needs attention.

ZIRCONIA-CERAMIC CROWNS
To restore a compromised tooth, replace an old crown or complete an implant restoration.
A crown covers the prepared tooth and restores its shape, strength and function. Proportions, contacts and shade are designed to blend with neighbouring teeth and support your bite.
-
Explore dental implants
SINGLE AND MULTIPLE IMPLANTS
To replace one or more missing teeth without unnecessarily involving neighbouring teeth.
An implant replaces the root and supports a crown; when several teeth are missing, multiple implants can support a fixed bridge. Planning considers the available bone, implant positions and future restoration.
-

FIXED DENTAL BRIDGES
To replace one or more missing teeth or address a bridge that is no longer stable.
A bridge replaces missing teeth with support from suitable natural teeth or implants. We consider these supports, your bite and gum health when planning a stable restoration.

From 3D diagnostics
to surgical planning
Before treatment, we use a digital model of your anatomy to plan the procedure around your clinical needs.
Planmeca 3D CT and 3Shape TRIOS scans provide the anatomical data used for diagnosis and computer-guided implant planning.
PLANMECA 3D CT:
ASSESSING YOUR ANATOMY
3D CT, also known as CBCT, shows the bone, roots, nerve canals and maxillary sinuses in three dimensions. This allows us to assess the available space and identify the structures that need to be protected.
Planmeca's low-dose protocols adjust X-ray exposure to the scan area and the diagnostic information needed. For some scans, Ultra Low Dose mode may deliver a lower dose than a standard panoramic X-ray.
3SHAPE TRIOS:
THE DIGITAL IMPRESSION
The intraoral scanner records your teeth, gums and bite to create a three-dimensional model of your dental arches. It replaces traditional impression materials and allows us to check the scan quality straight away.
For you, this means a more comfortable way to take impressions. For the surgeon, it provides a digital model for treatment planning.
GUIDED IMPLANT DENTISTRY:
PLANNING BEFORE SURGERY
By combining 3D CT and intraoral scans, the surgeon plans implant position, angle and depth, taking the future fixed restoration into account from the outset.
The digital model helps the surgeon assess the available space and plan the procedure around your anatomy and the intended restoration.
Your restoration,
made in our own laboratory
Design, materials, production and checks are managed within the same clinic.
Our in-house CAD/CAM laboratory brings the clinical team and dental technicians together. We check shape, tooth contacts, shade and comfort on site, discussing adjustments with you as the work progresses. The team oversees materials and production at every stage: the temporary restoration, verification prototype and final restoration. Working together also helps us coordinate try-ins, appointments and production times.
Digital Smile Design:
see your planned smile
Preview the proposed appearance of your smile before treatment begins.
Using artificial intelligence, we combine photographs, intraoral scans and facial data to develop a design that complements your features, lips and expression. The Smile team reviews the proposal with you.
An in-mouth mock-up follows, allowing you to assess the shape, proportions and overall appearance of your smile and discuss adjustments before approving the design.
Clear prices and a lifetime implant warranty
Before you begin, you will understand the proposed treatment, its stages, the number of appointments, the expected duration and the total cost.
After your consultation, you will receive a personalised treatment plan and quotation. We explain each item before treatment begins.
Straumann Group implants carry a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty. We explain its conditions, the required follow-up visits and the separate cover for prosthetic components.
Frequently asked questions
When is oral rehabilitation needed?
Oral rehabilitation is considered when one or more teeth are compromised or missing, or when an existing restoration is no longer stable, well-fitting or functional. The first aim of your examination is to establish what can be preserved. We assess supporting teeth or implants, gums, bite and existing restorations. Only after diagnosis do we determine whether a crown, bridge, implants or a combination of treatments is appropriate.
Does an old crown or bridge always need replacing?
No. Age alone is not a reason to replace a crown or bridge. We assess fit, stability, supports, gums and bite. Suitable restorations may be retained. When a problem exists, diagnosis establishes what needs repair or redesign. The aim is to preserve what works and address only what compromises health, function or stability.
How do you choose between a crown, bridge and implant?
The choice depends on what needs restoring. A crown restores a tooth that can be preserved. A bridge replaces missing teeth when suitable supports are available. Implants replace tooth roots and can support crowns or bridges. We assess the remaining teeth, gums, bone and bite before recommending the option suited to your needs.
Can I see the result before the final restoration is made?
Yes. Photographs, digital scans and Digital Smile Design can preview the proposal before final production. Our laboratory makes a temporary restoration and always prepares a verification prototype before the final work. We assess shape, tooth contacts, comfort, chewing, speech and appearance. Proposed changes are discussed with you and incorporated according to clinical and functional requirements.
How many implants are needed to replace several teeth?
Implant number is determined individually. One implant can support a crown; several can support a bridge replacing multiple teeth. Number and position are planned according to bone, space, bite and the future restoration. In some cases, natural teeth can support a bridge. The appropriate option follows clinical assessment and planning.
