The splints are made of durable, transparent plastic (medical polyurethane<\/a>), which is made very precisely and of course individually for each patient according to a specific treatment plan. After examining the patient, it must be determined whether the person is an ideal candidate for this type of therapy. Creation of the splints<\/strong><\/h6>\n

If the patient has no objections to the appearance of his or her future smile, a splint or foil will be made within approximately 20 days. Each splint needs to be changed every two weeks to allow teeth to move and straighten as planned. Any splint already in use has served its purpose when the intended displacement has been achieved.<\/p>\n

The patient is provided with a certain number of Invisalign splints\/foils, ten to thirty depending on the type of therapy, which are changed every 15 days on average. First splint<\/strong><\/h6>\n

The initial application of the splint<\/strong> takes place in the Smile Clinic, as composite structures are placed on the teeth. These are important for therapy because they move the teeth in the right direction with the desired pressure. All other splints are changed by the patient himself, with clear and complete instructions given by our specialist on how to change them and how to keep them clean.<\/p>\n

The duration of the therapy or how long the patient has to wear the transparent braces depends on the number of foils\/splints. You will also receive all the necessary information about the course and treatment plan, which includes the number of visits for examination and control in the coming months.
